Most Catalans arrived in Australia with no word of English and they had to learn quickly. In those cases, a dictionary or a notebook was always helpful to remember new words.

Catalan language was traditionally spoken at home, but not in school or in the street. Only a few members of the older generation remember a couple of words that Grandma said...  Do you remember any?
